The Muffler Trophy

 

In 1997 “the Muffler” was introduced as the championship award for competition between the Griswold and Woodhull House football teams. The muffler had come to the end of its first life after falling off of Rabbi Lauren Levy’s H’97 car, only to be transformed into its current trophy status by a Griswold student who proposed that ownership be awarded to whichever house won the Griswold-Woodhull house football game.
